First Fascinator

In my love for retro fashion, I made my first fascinator. Knowing me I'll have one in every colour by the end of the month.

First Recycled top

So, I had this top that I never wore, because even when I was A LOT skinnier, it was uncomfortable. So I cut it up, added some godets and ruffled sleeves. Basically, the neckline and lace front are what is left of the original. I wish I had taken a before pic, but I just jumped right into this project that it didn't even cross my mind. The skirt is the one previously shown with S's tube top and my jj top. The outfit is still in progress, I plan to finish up the top and skirt with added trims and hemming. I think the silhouette is my favourite part.

18th C inspired, comming along...

Its still all held together by pins. I have a problem with finishing, probably because I'm always unsure and not fully ready to commit to the final version. It's difficult to have an objective opinion on your own creation. I love love, LOVE historical fashion. I think this dress is more of a blur between 18th and 19th century. Marie Antoinette meets Jane Austen. I have some apprehension about whether this is wearable in public and if I may be mistaken for going to a costume party.

While playing around, I placed the collar on the neckline... better I think, will go with this and see what happens.

Liquid LEGGINGS!

Three out of five made! Thanks to Fabricana sale I splurged. $50 leggings for under $10 a pop!

Beginnings of my first Holiday/Party Dress

Still in progress, lots of work to be done! I'm thinking of wearing it with my yet to be made silver liquid leggings.

First Chiffon...

The skirt will look more gathered when done, and there will be a lining so the undies won't show =P







Okay, first time working with chiffon. Making a blouse inspired by that show I shouldn't be watching. Chiffon is a challenge to work on. Likes to move around lots. I have a long way to go, but I think I can finish by tomorrow. I basically only have the collar done =P
